Exporting Midi Files to Finale

Music Spirit

Recommended Posts

I have just finished an arrangement comprising several instruments for someone who only has Finale. All the parts are quantised and midi accurate.

I have so far exported the midi tracks individually as separate instruments to a desk top folder with the aim of emailing the lot in one go.

Does anyone have any tips/workflow suggestions/pitfall avoidances for this kind of operation?

cheers

Why the need to put each instrument in a separate file? You can export the whole Logic Song as one MIDI file and it'll open up in Finale. Just make sure that per instrument, all the regions are "glued" into one whole region - as Finale will put separate regions into new staves, even if they are part of the same instrument or track.
