Logic plug-ins?

Maybe this post is in the wrong place .... perhaps we could have a 3rd party plug-in section in the studio tools section where we could discuss all the other software we use with Logic but not other sequencers.

Anyway .... my question is ... how do the Logic plug-ins compare with third party products?

Are there any must have tools, inst's, plug-ins etc .... that aren't included.

I use Peak for my audio editing, Recycle, Battery 2 and I couldn't live without my Albino 2.

I know it's a matter of opinion ... but what are the great Reverbs, compressors, EQ's which are hiding out there?

IMHO, having spent in excess of twenty years round this game, the Logic factory plug-ins stand comparison with almost all third-party offerings which profess to do the same jobs. Some of the Logic tools offer things which no-one else seems to make, at least not at a decent price.

If you're a trance man, I presume you have Vanguard ?

Then there's Reaktor Session, from NI. This is (in this studio !) a must-have.

Until you've heard the "FattTekk" patch in Reaktor's "Junatik" synth, you ain't really heard nuffink ! ! !

If you have some money to spend, try the WaveArts PowerSuite.

Their MasterVerb is to die for.

i still use LOGIC 5.5. on PC.

i find the effect plug-ins of Logic just fantastic.

So I guess on Logic 7 they must be just as cool.

Certainly the the convolution reverb in LOGIC 7 is really something else.

I always play around with LOGIC 7 at my local music tech. retail store. I have a great time doing that.

.......you to have pluggo runtime to use them though.

Hi Nigel

Do you find Pluggo useful ? I certainly do.

There are some crazy synths in there and some of the FX are amazing.

Convolver and Flange-o-tron are my particular favourites.

As a bundle, for only a few dollars, I reckon it's good value.

Anyone else a Pluggo fan ? ? ? ? ? ?

:P
