hiphopdzine
Just purchased Logic Pro and I can't even run it. First when starting up, it has a core audio confliction with some of my pro tools plug ins and then it doesn't even recognize my digi rack. Then I try and loop a track to creat a beat and I get the error message that it says it is having difficutly synching the midi and audio, and when the loop starts over, the audio is not playing. Please help, don't want to return LP for something like this, I am way too excited to use it!!!
David Nahmani
Hello! Sorry to hear about your problems.... 1) Please, try to use a descriptive thread title. "Newbie Needs Help" could be the title of 75% of the threads we have here. That doesn't help the members surfing the forum to know whether or not they should read that thread. 2) Describe your system. Are you trying to run Logic Pro as a front end to a PTHD system? hiphopdzine
I have a dual 2.0 G5, with a Focus Rite Platinum Voicmaster Plus, a Digi Rack, an M-Audio Axiom 25 keyboard and some other small stuff. I want to get the most out of LP as possible. Right now I am using ProTools LE for vocals and LE for beats and such. Please let me know if you need any other info:D Thanks!! David Nahmani
Logic Pro is only compatible with AU plug-ins, so you won't be able to use your Digirack plug-ins in Logic unless you have a TDM system. As for your problem... it could be sooo many things. Try to open a brand new session and experiment with playing loops and cycle playing, see if the problem is still there or if it was only in the original song. hiphopdzine
I've tried opening a new session, but it does the same thing. UUgghhhhh! I don't get any sound when trying to hear the loops and then I don't get any sound when trying to play the loop in my project session.
David Nahmani
Go to Audio > Audio Hardware and Drivers and make sure the driver for your Audio Interface is selected.
hiphopdzine
My digi rack only has showed up in there once or twice. But most of the time it doesn't even list it as an option, just "built in audio".
David Nahmani
Those Digi CoreAudio drivers are notoriously unstable, but they should show up. Try digidesign.com and find the latest CoreAudio drivers for your interface, and install those.
hiphopdzine
To tell you the truth, I could care less about being able to use them...I just want my LP to work!!
David Nahmani
Those drivers are necessary to have Logic communicate with your Digidesign interface (M• Box, 002 or 001)... I guess tha'ts what you're trying to do or are you using another interface for Logic?
fader8
hiphop, Which Digidesign interface do you have? If you have an 002, then you have to be sure you're using the coreaudio driver that installs with PTLE and not the stand-alone version which should ONLY be used if you don't have PTLE installed. If you've intalled both, then it can muck things up.
hiphopdzine
I did have them both installed, but I trashed the standalone version. Now, any ideas? Still getting the same errror messages, etc...
fader8
So you do have a Digi 002? Did you re-install PTLE and the included coreaudio driver after trashing the standalone?
hiphopdzine
Ya, I have the Digi 02 and yes I re-installed it. Still same problem:(
hiphopdzine
Now I am getting an error code 28773, what to do?
Chris
hiphopdzine, What version of OS X are you using, what version of Logic? This doesn't seem like a permissions issue, but have you tried repairing permissions?
briandelizza
If worst comes to worst you can get a 1/8" to RCA cable and go from your internal sound card to the Alt Source on your 002, then whenever you want to hear logic just hit Alt Source to mon. No firewire interface but hey, you'll be able to hear it.
