pepperjack
In UltraBeat, i wanna record 5 drum tracks, but have them all on 5 diff. channels so i can mix them differently...what is best way to do this? i've been jsut setting up 5 diff tracks and selecting UltraBeat on each track. i think i tried doing it all on one track, then DeMixing it, but that still didn't separate them so i could mix, just put them on separate tracks. thanks, pepperjack p.s. if i want a kick drum from 1 patch, and a snare from another patch, i have been creating 2 diff tracks...is there a way to sorta create my own drum set with my own sounds? or is this why people use Reason? beatz
i don't mean to be rude, but did the idea of reading the manual ever come to mind? building kits is an elementary feature of any drum sampler.
Tabnetic
you're going to want to select multi-channel and ultrabeat, then start setting up some auxes to control your kick, snare, etc. this involves getting familiar with how to create auxes in the environment, as well as basic i/o features of logic. as far as ultrabeat goes, check out logic plugin reference manual p.
David Nahmani
Multiple outputs: do a search, we've talked about it a lot and again very recently. Kit building: use the 'IMPORT' menu in Ultrabeat (top), and drag and drop in the voice list (left).
