franktrumpet
Has anyone out there experienced loss of region based automation data after merging devided audion files? I have found that all automation data vanishes after the first join. I have also found that Logic desregards region based automation towards the end of long regions. Deviding the region seems to make it behave properly. I took files demonstrating these problems to the Apple Store in London and they had no explanation. I'm using Logic 7.1.1 on a G5 iMac OS10.4.6. I've also found that the curve tool seems to have no function in rigion based automation. Anyone got any insight?
David Nahmani
The curve tool is for TBA. To create curves in RBA, use Control+Option+drag. I have experienced loss of RBA when merging MIDI Regions. Hyperdraw will try to join nodes when merging Regions. It's a 'smart' feature which sometimes messes up everything. The workaround? Don't merge, or add nodes in hyperdraw at the end of the first and beginning of the second regions. I've never noticed any problem at the end of a Region, and have done intensive MIDI programming for Yamaha, with MIDI Regions full of multiple RBA, and that have the length of the song (about 4mn on average).
