dtl1232
i have a g4 quicksilver with a m-audio ozone and audio tech. mic running LE 7.0 i figured out how to record vocals, put loops and sounds in but i can't get my ozone to record any of the software instruments in LE. Idouble click on the audio mixer on inst. 1 and then insert a plug in,say ES1 and i can hear the synth and play it on my keyboard, but it does'nt give me a record button to press .Garageband seems to do this automatically for you,i can play and record all of their sounds but i am stuck on this part in LE.please instruct me on the correct path to do this so i can get past this bump in the road.thanks for your help,GREAT FORUM by the way!!!!! David Nahmani
You need to click on the 'R' button on that Audio Instrument's Arrange track.
dtl1232
there is no R button on the track, that was the problem.i found that i can record by hitting record on the transport record button and just being ready to play.i assign the midi channels to their respective channels and it works.must be a more organized way to do it though.let me know
David Nahmani
Oh yes, Logic Express doesn't have a 'R' button. Just select the track you want to record, and hit record. That's it! Logic Pro offers the possibility of recording several MIDI Tracks at once, hence the 'R' button (you can't really select several tracks at once in the Arrange window).
