Buddhamix
I do a lot of work with opening and/or importing .MID files. I've found frequently that some MIDI notes will be elongated to infinity, requiring selection of the offending note, then TAB to correct overlaps. This occurs even with MID files created by me, exported, and then reopened (as MID) to do revisions, etc. Any idea why this might be happening? It's a real block to the workflow... David Nahmani
Interesting... have you tried moving your preference file to your desktop? ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro I have done intensive MIDI work in Logic for Yamaha, with a lot of back and forth using .mid files between me and their quality control team (who uses Digital Performer) and have never encountered that problem. This would pretty much have made my job impossible.
Randall Voth
If you are using Band-In-A-Box, it could be a bad style. My wife uses BIAB for song writing and this happens, but only with certain styles. If she switches to another style in BIAB, the problem goes away.
