DocBop
Looking to get a decent condenser mic for general use (vocals, acoustic instruments similar things.) Looking at the Rode NT2 and Shure KSM 32 or 44. Wondered what you all think of them or other suggestions. Also for doing VO work would this be a good mic or should I look at a high end dynamic like a RE20?

If they still have them, ww.pssl.com sells a MCA SP-1 for $39.95 that Jim Williams of Audio Upgrades does a mod for around $150. So for under $200 you have a terrific SDC. It has a flat response to 7k, then a 3db lift at 20k hz." http://vomictest.blogspot.com/2007/11/its-back.html

davidpye
You did say you're after a Large Diaphragm Condenser though, so maybe look into Audio Technica's range, the 4033's are really good mics, very useful. Also AKG 214's are very nice, a fixed pattern 414.
