Logic Pro Bus Questions

Hey Guys.

 

I have some questions concerning the bus usage in logic pro.

 

First question is: Do you put the single channel to a bus over the send button or by selecting it over the output 1-2 by replacing it?

 

Is there a difference between these methods?

 

Second question: Considering the output level when putting the channel to a certain output, for example the drums like bass drum, tom and so forth, Can I ignore the bus bar if its exceeds the zero level or shall I keep the bus output also below 0. The Problem is if I'm doing that the whole song gets some sort of quiet.

 

Third question: When are you putting a channel to a bus? are you following a certain pattern?
