teamworkmammal Posted May 7, 2009 Share Posted May 7, 2009 so lets say you have an ssl console. where is the audio recalled from? do you hook it up to a computer or tape machine? how does it interface with them? maybe this would have been a better 'tech room' question if some kind moderator might nudge it over. prjkt Posted May 7, 2009 Share Posted May 7, 2009 you "recall" audio from what ever medium you recorded to, whether it be tape or a computer most most inline mixers, you've got an input for a microphone or instrument for recording, and a second input from your multi-track source (your tape deck or computer's audio interface) these days 9 times out of 10 it'll be a computer, so if you want a nice big SSL, you'd better have enough I/O for your computer (one input/output per channel on the desk, plus 2-8 extra inputs - stereo, to 5.1/7.1 surround - for the final mix) Personally I wouldn't mind one of the 24 channel SSL Dualities - nice automation/control features along with some pure analogue goodness Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
