Chris
I'm working on a cue for a short film and there are several scene cuts that require accents on each cut. So, I beat mapped the markers to the bar and beat I want these cuts to fall on and SMPTE locked them. So, now I want to create an average tempo for all this. I open the tempo operations window and select constant tempo. In theory, this should calculate an average tempo that would allow all of hit points to fall on the beats that I mapped out. Well, this certainly isn't the case. So am I missing something here? Is there another procedure that I need to go through to make this work? Any suggestions are most welcome and appreciated. David Nahmani
Beat mapping is just a way to insert tempo changes. If you get rid of the tempo changes, you lose your beat mapping.
