David Nahmani
What settings are you using when bouncing to mp3?
jhrickert
hey david, thanks for responding. i'm communicating with apple pro support on how to remedy this. i'm using the following mp3 settings: VBR 128k stereo joint stereo highest quality use best encoding on and off filter below 10 hz on and off tried both real time and offline id3 tags on and off add itunes on and off the problem seems to be that the bounce is adding a period of silence before and after the bounce. a 4 bar loop bounce becomes 4 1 1 117 or 4 1 1 104 or 4 1 1 134, etc.... David Nahmani
VBR? Forget about it. Check it off. Do it NOW!
jhrickert
that seemed to help. it has shortened the added silence. now its bouncing 4 1 1
David Nahmani
Do you still have those glitches? Try a higher bit rate, 192 or 320 kbps.
jhrickert
no. i dont hear any more glitches. just tried it at 192 and 320 and still getting the silence add-on. check this out, i bounced a pcm - aiff, 16/44.1 cd-da, interleaved, pow-r 1, offline - it resulted in a 4 bar loop that has a bit of silence at the beginning, and it doesnt contain the last bit of the loop from the selection i made to bounce. wierd?
