TRUN
Guys, I've tracked a lead vocal and there were numerous punches..We finally have arrived at the track the way we want it, my question is, how do I get rid of all the un-needed punches that are lying under the regions that I'm gonna use.....that's #1..#2 is there any way to track the punches in the future so that the regions aren't created on top of the previously recorded region? thanks for the help.... beyondish
You mean you use one track for all takes? I suggest using up to 5 tracks instead - It get's easier to see what you're doing. And I colorize to keep track of good takes and the text tool is good too.
camillo jr
You can also use "record replace", which I do if I don't have a lot to fix up. But mostly I do the same thing as beyondish using subtracks and when I've got all my takes I create a comp track where I drag all the good bits to. If I'm satisfied with the comp, I might rerender it and ditch all the other takes. If I have other previously recorded audio, I used to colour the takes of the new recording so I could find them easily in the audio window and delete them but for some reason the coloured regions are not showing there now in my set up. Must be something simple that I've missed.
