Logic Crashes after reading the tree

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just recently installed Logic 7 which came in the same DVD with version 7.1.

Logic opens (or tries) and in the last stage of reading the tree crashes.

I suspected of some plug ins and reboot Logic without them and the crash persisted.

I opened 6.4.3 with no problems at all...I suspect now of corrupted prefrences, but I do not want to change them as it will changed preferences for 6.4.3

Any suggestios?

I run a 2X 1.8 Ghz G5 with 2 GB of Ram, OSX 10.3.9, motu 828 mkII

Thanks

Are you trying to open Logic directly, or a Logic song?

Try opening Logic while holding Control and not launching Core Audio.

From there, you can chose "built-in Audio" in your Audio>Audio hardware and drivers and see if it launches. If it doesn't, try removing all 3rd party plug-ins from the "Audio" folders* on your hard drive, and see if you can start Logic that way?

* there are two of them, one in /Library/ and one in ~/Library/

Hi David,

thanks for your prompt response.

I did started Logic with no core audio and I have the same error or crash.

When the message of actualising tree (or something like that) at the very end of the progress barline, it does crash.

I also removed (prior to this start without core audio) all my 3rd party plugins and the same crash at the same stage...

i do not know what to do...

Thanks again for your help.
