Alternate speaker setup Help

I'll try to be straight and simple.

 

The ensemble main out knob only controls 1 set of monitors.

I connected straight to speakers and notice a big difference since taking the Central Station out of my chain. But.

 

When I mix I need to switch over to another set of speakers, lets say outs 3/4 from ensemble.

 

The best way to do this and not interupt the mixer settings would be bus all the tracks to an aux and send that aux to outs 3/4.

 

Now I can use this aux fader as an overall volume control for the mix level going to this speaker set (which has no knob controlling it)

I'd rather not have to build anything in the environment,

anyone have any other ideas.

Peter... I don't understand your pic: I only see one output there, the Stereo Our on Aux 3-4.

Attenuating the mix with a bus fader is not a no-no like bringing down the master or main outs fader right?

Neither are no-no's. You can attenuate the mix with a bus fader, or with an output fader.

I thought bring down the main/master fader would sacrifice resolution or something like that?
