soap
Hello, I'm using Logic Express with MOTU Ultralitemk3 on MBP 2GB and I'm getting quite a low signal when recording - even when I turn up the level of a channel. The signal is not as strong as it was with PT MBox I was using. Is there something I should look out for here? Thanks P
triplets
What are you recording? What mic are you using?
soap
Hi ya, i'm recording vocals, piano and guitar. But what I get seems less strong than the signal I got before. Perhaps a different setting on the MOTU? Cheers
triplets
Make sure the Pad switch is off on the Ultralite.
Myramyd
Also make sure you have the gain high enough of each channel. Bring up CueMix. For "average" signals (guitar, SM57, SM58) I have mine at about +8dB. With my keyboard (S90) I have it up about +12dB. For my SM7 mic I have to crank it all the way to +21dB. I would say average mics and line signals should be around +8dB to +12dB though on the Ultralite. Otherwise they are pretty quiet.
