MOTHERBR41N
Hi, I'm a beginner to Logic Pro 8 and am producing my second track on it (no problems with the first one). Now it seems that, at random, Logic is dropping the output volume on a certain track where there are no automations to say so (and, sometimes, even completely muting). This happens to several of the tracks, a few seconds after the first MIDI notes on each are played. The only remedy is to restart Logic, but the problem returns after a few seconds into the new session. I've tried changing the sample rates and even using two different pieces of external hardware, thinking this might be an overload problem, without success. Any tips? Thanks, Felipe
emilenitrate
I've had trouble with faders on M-Audio keyboards making minute adjustments on their own while I was recording parts and then having those "adjustments" embedded within the midi data. Maddening. In the piano roll editor, open the hyper data panel at the bottom and look through each track for recorded level changes. Also, when the level change occurs, try to note the time and positively rule out these being random, rather than reoccurring, events. Good luck, hope this helps. - Emile
MOTHERBR41N
Like you said, I just realized my EVOLUTION MK-361C was causing a conflict with Logic and, therefore, is the one responsible for the screw-up. As soon as I click one of the global tracks, the volume of this specific track drops almost to zero. However. none of parameters seem to change when this happens. If I don't use as a MIDI controller, Logic works fine. Unfortunately, I am now without a MIDI controller while producing. Any ideas on how to solve this (besides buying a new one)?
