Logic did not make a backups and did not make a Crash file - why? How are the rules for backups? How are the rules for makeing crashfiles? I'm sorry to hear about your issue. Logic does not automatically make backups. All it does is keep the latest saved versions on your hard drives. You still have to manually save. As for crashfiles, there are no rules. Depending on the crash, if Logic can save a crashfile it will, but sometimes it just can't. Take this incident as a good reminder to develop good saving and backup practices. 1 hour is next to nothing. You should have seen the face on the professional producer I was helping once who lost 3 months of work right under my nose. Not pretty.

D.D. Jackson
If you want auto-backups you might want to try Time Machine - robjohn99
makes
I found in preferences: auto backups. But I really do not know, what does it mean: Last (3,5,...) Project Versions. If I do once cmd-S, will Logic start making backups? Or how does it work? Thanks!!!!
