Hyper Draw not working on aux channel of ESX24

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm working on a project with multiple drum samples, which are coming out of the EXS24. The sampler is set up with multiple outputs to the mixer. Also I have made multiple tracks in the arrange window, so that every drum sample has it's own track with it's own regions.

 

Now, I want to pan one of the drumsounds using hyperdraw. But when I do this, only the pan control of the channel where the EXS24 is inserted moves. Instead of the ESX24 aux channel (ESX24 3-4).

 

Is it impossible to use Hyperdraw for automating controls of the ESX24 aux channels?

 

If it is not, could someone give me a hint?

While you could find a way to make that work, that's a convoluted solution. The easier solution is:

 

Control-click the Aux and choose "Create Arrange Track", then use automation to set your pan how you like.
