tektune
Hi, I'm wondering wether this is simpler than I'm making this out to be, but I cannot figure out why my movie is running slower than Logic's SMPTE. Frame rate is set at 25, and as it's a short film I'm just starting everything at 01:00:00:00.00. The movie starts to drift right away, so that at 01:00:!0:00.00 the burnt in TC shows +00:00:08;10 01:00:30:00.00 the burnt in TC shows +00:00:25;001 01:05:00:00.01 the burnt in TC shows +00:04:10:08 The QT movie prefs show it's frame rate at 25fps, so thats what I've set logic up as. Any light shed on this would be most appreciated! Thanks
LukeDunn
You should double check with the editor and make sure that your FR is is set properly. Luke

Hi luke thankyou for reply, the QT I was given say it's playing at 25fps, to which I've set logic. I will check with the editor and make sure though. Is there any point in converting the movie to DV? I know logic prefers that format over QT in some cases. What would you say? Cheers Dov
LukeDunn
The editor could have burned in the wrong time code, so the file might be 25, but the burn might be 30 or something. Logic does like DV better, but I haven't had too many problems with other codecs.
