adamjhoward
In Logic 9 I've noticed that when I have recorded some audio. If I then delete the region to the trash, and I then move the locator back a few bars, I get the "beach ball of death". Quite annoying when on a roll in a session. Also, when I go the loops browser in the media section and browse the loops, the same thing happens. I go to logic 8 and the problem doesn't happen. On saying this, I've just tried again this morning, and the problem doesn't seem to be happening?! It seems to be intermittent. I usually have a movie I am working to in the project, although this has happened without a movie. In 8 & 9, I have another intermittent problem, when trying to save a song, it can sometimes take a long time to type in the characters of the new name. Any ideas please!!! Adam. David Nahmani
I'm not seeing any of those problems here... is it with a project that was started in Logic 8 or with a Logic 8 template? Have you tried initializing your preferences?

adamjhoward
Dave, Yes, my templates were created in Logic 8, and the songs with problems were also from 8. Would this be the problem? Please explain what initializing the preferences does? Do I do this just once or every time I open a song that was created in 8. Thanks Dave. I've been on your case this week, but do you have any thoughts at all on why my logic is taking soooo long to type in the song name when I want to "save as". (only some times?) Adam.
