why doesn't copying a MIDI file copy pitch-bend information?

Hi

I'm trying to copy midi tracks from one Project to another project, but pitchbend information is not being copied. Surely there is a way to do this automatically, isn't there?

While I'm at it, is there a way to copy the channel strip information all at the same time (i.e. choice of software instrument, efx, etc)?

Thanks,

sageev

i hadn't tried export/import, thanks.

i did need to do one more thing: i was using a S/W instrument in which i had gone into the settings of the instrument to set the amount of pitch bend, and therefore I also needed to copy and paste the exact channel strip settings-- otherwise the midi pitch bend info is there, but it wasn't sounding bent.

is there a way to set the export function so that it also includes channel strip settings? (or to copy more than one channel strip setting at a time?)

thanks again

ps. signature revised as suggested, thanks.

You could save the MIDI file as a green apple loop (drag and drop on top the loops browser) or you could use the new Track Import feature to import the track and all its content (MIDI regions) and the corresponding channel strip setting, and that way you could import several at a time.
