Jordi Torres Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 In Logic 8, you need to use the strip silence function (manual chapter 22) to split your audio regions so that each significant transient in the file becomes and individual region with its own anchor (Each audio region has an anchor which aligns it to Logic's grid...check page 290 in the manual). The anchor should be placed at the highest amplitude peak of the transient, use low settings for Pre Attack Time in the strip silence window for this. When the original region is split, then you can quantize them in the event list, where the anchor in each region will serve as the point of reference to align them to logic's grid.
