Need help with the I/O plug guys! :)

Hello again!

I've plugged my MIni-KP into my interface in channels one and two and am trying to use the unit as a plug in using the I/O.

When I Open up the I/O window and select the correct inputs and outputs, i still get nothing...

Just to clarify, the line out from the MiniKP is going to channels 1 -2 whilst the line in's are plugged into outputs 3 -4 (although this shouldnt make a difference if im trying to use the unit as a plug in right?)

can someone please explain to me how to insert the MiniKP as a plug in on a channel strip.

thankyou

The interface is an M-Audio Fast track Ultra 8 x 8, Ive got the line out of the Mini KP going into channels 1 - 2 of my interface, and the Line in's from the Mini KP going to outputs 3 - 4 on my interface.

Ive initiated an I/O plug-in on the CS i want to use the MiniKP on, but when I select the inputs and output options within the plug-in nothing is happening.

Into INPUTS 1-2? Are those inputs line level? Are you sure in the M-Audio software you're not setup to use Mic preamps for those inputs? Or instrument preamps?

Line in's from the Mini KP going to outputs 3 - 4 on my interface.

And I assume you've set a stereo I/O plug-in to inputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4? When you press play, do you see some level on the KP?

The interface has pre-amps for channels 1 -2.

hmm strange

You need to bypass those preamps. Surely there's a way to set those inputs to line inputs? Otherwise... try input 3-4? Check levels meters at various points in the chain to check for proper signal routing: KP input? KP output? M-audio input? M-audio software? Etc...
