popscreen
This is a bug that apparently has not been fixed in Logic 9. I've been having this problem back to Logic 8. The basic scenario is that I will recording a MIDI pass, through a software instrument -- doesn't matter what instrument, or what manufacturer. Upon playback, the notes appear but do not play. When I go to the piano roll and click on the notes, they play. When I play the keyboard, the instrument plays. It just won't play back what I just recorded. Very annoying. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's pretty random when it does. What I've been having to do is duplicate the track and copy the MIDI region to the new track. THAT PLAYS. Then I delete the duff track. Is there any way to fix this? I've search the forums and can't find a thing. Thanks.
David Nahmani
I'm wondering if you can sense any kind of relations to that bug we just discussed? Undo after recording MIDI take = no playback Does the listed workaround work for you? Are you recording take folders? Cycle recording?
popscreen
Yes, take folders and cycle recording. That seriously s*cks. No more of that I guess.
