kman23000
Hey all, I've recorded a number of tracks using the count in, and would like to know how I can retrieve any parts of the tracks that were recorded during the count in, as initial playback starts at 1 and from what i can tell that material is lost. Thanks! K
camillo jr
I think all you need to do is enable Punch On The Fly. BTW, this also gives you the ability to capture ANY audio that was going in before you hit the record button, as long as the transport is in play. Like when you're getting levels while some one is playing along with the track and you realize that they're doing some great stuff, just hit that record button and after you stop you can drag the region all the way back to the beginning. kman23000
Thanks Camillo jr, good to know! Im interested in also being able to do this retroactively ie. getting the material that was played during the count in after it was recorded. Any experience with this? camillo jr
Same answer! Enable POTF, under the record button menu. Works for me here in Logic 7. Recording is retroactive whether or not you have a count-in, as long as POTF is on. So without count-in, recording takes place from the moment the transport is engaged. With a count-in, you also get the audio during count-in. After recording, you will have to grab the region's left corner and drag to the left to get that "invisible" audio to sound.
