installing libraries on new computer

I just bought a new Mac Pro 8 Core 2.26.

I am installing all my libraries on it, I don't mean the content, all that is on an external 1 tb drive.

 

my question is:

do I install from the original CDs (when I first bought the product) and then download the latest updates?

I tried doing this with one library (Broadway Big Band Halion Player) but it wouldn't let me because it said the "Syncrosoft License Control cannot be installed on this computer because the installed operating system version is too old. At least system versionMac OS X 10.3 (Panther) is required"

 

Any help is much appreciated as I am at a standstill.
