boglary
I would like to change the tempo of my metronome clicks. I found the metronome settings icon but here I didnt see where I could change the tempo. I also found tempo operations but if I change the tempo here it changes my tracks globally. So wherecan I find the metronome tempo settings?
AndPSan
Hi! If you're using Logic Pro 9: double click on tempo and type the tempo you want. Cheers!
boglary
It is Logic 8. It is not there.
David Nahmani
There are no "Metronome tempo settings": the goal of the metronome is to give you the tempo of your project. So the metronome plays at the tempo of the project. In any version of Logic you change the tempo of the project in the Transport bar, by double-clicking the tempo and entering your new value. boglary
I tried to change the tempo in the transport bar but it changes the tempo of the whole project. I have the video, the talking underneath the video, some groove already recorded which I don't want to change. I just want to record a new track faster then what is already there without changing the project. How can I do that?

Set the tempo as you want it. Bounce the click to an audio file, however many measures you think you need. Import this audio file into your big project and place it where you like. fuzzfilth
How can I do that? First, I would suggest that in the future you explain in detail what you actually want to achieve in your first post. Your problem has nothing to do with the metronome and that you want existing material to stay in place is a new issue. You're moving the goal posts. Check out Region/Lock SMPTE Position. Then change the tempo. Christian
boglary
Thanks for the tip of SMPTE lock, that works. I have the music untouched but the metronome plays faster now, what I wanted. Sorry if I wasnt clear. I am completely new to this software and it seems so different than the others I used. And besides, i am only a musician, even a woman, definitely not a technical person. So sorry if I drive you all mad but it is just enough frustating for me too to try to sort out everything by myself with the help of you all. So if you dont mind, I will be back.... Maybe in every second.
