Importing midi files

I looked in the manual under "import", "midi", and "files" but no joy. Is it really not possible to import a midi file into Logic? I asked our kb player to send me a midi file of a part to save time, but looks as though I'll have to ask for audio unless there is a solution.

The .mid file was created in Sibelius. It is only 2 parts - organ and piano. It plays fine in Quicktime.

I'm using Logic Pro 8 on a Macbook Pro 2,5GHz, 4Mb RAM. When I try to import it Logic says it is not a Logic project. I never had this problem even when I was using fairly ancient versions of Cubase

Have I missed something? Or am I just a bad person? Be grateful for any pearls of wisdom.

Easiest way to import a MIDI file is to drag one into the canvas and a track is generated for it. With MIDI files that have multiple internal track you also get multiple Logic tracks, with General MIDI it even tries to map suitable instruments for each track.
