Reed
I loaded a jam pack guitar loop into Logic Studio. The loop is in the key of A. I'd like to move it up to C. I thought Time and Pitch Machine would be the way to do this but it's 'greyed out'. How do I change the pitch of jam pack loops? Thanks
Audiogrocery
How do I change the pitch of jam pack loops? Select the loop in the arrange and look at the inspector to the left. There is a "Transposition" setting, where you can set the transposition. If wish to draw more pitch changes for a given loop you can use the "Chord" track - just enable it in the "Configure Global Tracks" dialog. Reed
Thanks Scandor, that worked fine. I guess I need to to work on transposing the same audio loop on the timeline. You know; start with the audio loop in C then go to the 4 chord F then back to C etc: When I switch to the 4 or 5 chord the tempo increases because of the audio stretching. I haven't figured out how to get the tempo to remain constant. Any pointers here? Thanks again, Gary
Audiogrocery
When I switch to the 4 or 5 chord the tempo increases because of the audio stretching. Looks like when you imported the loop which contained some "tempo". Normally a message pops up, so you can choose Yes/No. Choose "No" if wish the loop to follow your project tempo etc... Keep in mind - there is no audio scratching with apple loops. It is just a simple play of multiple audio slices following the project tempo like midi...
