sc300power
Hello all. As I promised, here is a new track that I have been working on. Everything was done in Logic and the vocals are my own (with the exception of the native american chants..sample). I recorded in my bedroom on a Shure sm57 mic. It's not the greatest, but I am still learning. Let me know what you guys think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiZQCqvEDGo

slamthecrank
Well done! I admit that I'm not much of a house listener (I'm a singer/songwriter) but I truly enjoyed this song. And the production is great. You should be very happy with it!!

will666
I would love to for the tension to build a little more in the second break then when the drop comes for it to slap the listener in the face. It's a great track very housey keep up the good work.

will666
one thing i do (i have seen Tocadisco do it) is have the white noise open up and just before the drop have one beat of silence then use the white noice again as a crash. So have the cutt off open and the release to fit ie the same tail as a crash or splash. Try not to change to much the rest of the track sound polished you don't want to trash it trying to make one section stand out. I hope my explination was not to all over the place hahahaha
sc300power
Oh I gotcha. I actually did something similar on one of my other tracks called "Room43" If you go to my myspace you can check it out. It's more of a deep track, but you will get the idea. I used a clap with a low pass on it and just added insane amounts of verb to give it that splash, or "slap" on the drop with a bit of white noise as well.
