Is there a Logic Panner plugin similar to Ableton's AutoPan?

Hi all,

I've been searching through Logic's suite of plugins and searched through the Studio Effects manual, but cannot find a plugin that is similar to Abletons autopan. All I can find (unless I am misunderstanding these plugs) are ones that deal with a static pan.

I know I could automate the panning lane but I'd prefer not to do it that way if possible.

Have I missed something here?

Kind regards

James

Thanks guys, I'd looked at that but thought tremolo was only applicable to a volume modulation which wasn't what I was after.

Just had a look through the manual (I have the pdf on my work machine for lunchtimes!) and see that it has a distribution option which sounds like it becomes a pan effect.

Shall experiment with that, thanks.

An autopan effect is a volume modulation where the LFO of the left channel is phase shifted to the LFO of the right channel. So the tremolo plug is exactly what you want.

What fader8 said: when autopanning, all you're doing is modulating the volume of the left/right speakers at different times, so the sound appears like it's moving from left to right to left...

If you want more control over it you could use my AutoPan environment - but for a quick simple solution, Tremolo plug-in works perfectly.
