gribit
Forgive if my english is not too clear... Please, try this: - open an automation on a track (zoom in at max level) - create 4 nodes - grab the center of the segment between 2° and 3° node and pull it down... Which dB value you get when the segment is all the way down? (more or less -90 dB, here) If you still pull down the segment... can you see the dBs going more down? (more or less to -140 dB here) Grabing down... do you have the feeling that the automation doesn't exactly follow your mouse movement? (...nearing the bottom it seems to go more "slowly") I'm sure wasn't so 'till 9.0! Than you.
gribit
Again...: If you create just 1 node (not 4 as before) and you pull it down, at the bottom, you'll reach the value of, more or less, -70/80 dB. If you try to pull more down, nothing happens... and this for me is normal... BUT... If you create another node, near the first one, and you pull it down... the segment (that is already at the "end of his way") the dB value goes down down down down at -143! (and, imagine, how many time you've got to pull up your mouse to reach the last value and... viceversa) Questions: have I got something wrong in my setup? is it a bug? is it a new, hide, feature? (if yes, I really can't understand it... ) Thanks!
Eric Cardenas
I can confirm this behavior.
David Nahmani
Same here too. Odd. BTW there's a new feature in 9.0.1 that if you hold Control while dragging a node you can access "in-between" values. 1) Dragging a single node down, I can go to -78.1 dB, then a "blank" value. 2) Dragging a single node down while holding Control, I can go to -126 dB, then a "blank" value. 3) Dragging a marquee selection, I can go down to -143 dB then the blank value. gribit
Thank you for answering! So it seems... an incomplete change... (whispering: ...a -b-b-b-b-ug?). The fact that we see the "blank" value, and not the "infinite symbol" as before, and all the odd/different "values" we get makes me think so... isn't it? Will be there a document with all the complete new 9.0.1 features? Cheers.
jackjack
me too can confirm this behaviour. only on sends and volume-automation... christian

jackjack
one more annoying thing: there are no more two choices available when changing the value of several selected nodes: it changes all values proportionately, no matter whether you click on the line or outside a line. absolute change of the value is no more possible...dealing everyday with heavy automation, these issues let me switch back to 8.02 immediately. sad! camillo jr
one more annoying thing: there are no more two choices available when changing the value of several selected nodes: it changes all values proportionately, no matter whether you click on the line or outside a line. absolute change of the value is no more possible...dealing everyday with heavy automation, these issues let me switch back to 8.02 immediately. sad! Ok, I know which one I almost always use (clicking outside the line) but not it's name...... Do you mean to say that if I want to lower a whole section of volume rides a couple of db that my dynamics will be stretched? So that what was formerly a 3 db difference between nodes will increase as I drag all the rides down?? If that is the case they really picked the wrong one to make the "choice". jackjack
exactly... real PITA! try some of your wellknown, usual techniques with automation (volume and sends) and you will be surprised...
