Headphone amp for Dt770's and a Duet?

Looking for some recommendations on a headphone amp. I've got my Dt770's plugged into the headphone out on my Duet, but I need more volume..

 

Problem is the Duet only has one set of main outs which run directly to my powered Mackie's, so the amp would have to receive the signal coming from the Duet's headphone out.. Any suggestions?

You'll notice that quality headphone amps are expensive, so you may want to consider buying lower-impedance headphones instead.

Thanks for the tip.. Yes, that is quite a price range they have there.. So I would probably be disappointed with the lower end models?

 

I see you use a Duet as well.. May I ask what your headphone setup is?

If you're looking for a high quality open-back headphone that has a lower impedance level without sacrificing sound quality, try the Sennheiser HD595. They're very similar to the 600 and 650, but they'll work with any interface, iPod, etc. Really fantastic sound, esp after you've burned them in for a good 24 hrs. Also the most comfortable pair I've ever worn. It's like they're hardly even there.

 

For closed-back tracking (and even mixing) phones, I'd suggest the Audio-Technica ATH-M50. Another great pair. 8)
