maestro2be Posted September 25, 2009 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Well unfortunately I got bad news that Apple nor Dual Systems will be writing a driver for my pcmcia to expresscard adapter so the ability for me to use my RME Multiface 2 on Snow Leopard isn't possible without purchasing the upgraded 500.00 card which I am not going to do right now. I have been using the internal sound card since the release date of 10.6 and it's worked great, but I have no intentions of not using my multiface 2 forever so. What version of 10.5 seems most stable with Logic 9? i will probably lose some performance that I have gotten used to on 10.6 perhaps (the load times etc)? I re-innstalled Leopard last night from scratch, patched it all up and am running my first time machine backup. Then I will install Logic. No reason really not to and if 9 gives me a problem at least I have a known working version to keep on working with until the issue gets resolved. 9 is to new for me to trust it will definitely do what it says without hitch. I will post my result after 9 finishes loading. I don't think I will do the 9.0.1 update. My sytem was working flawlessly until I did that update on Snow Leopard and then my VSL interfaces etc became an issue. Going to just use the 9.0 and see how it goes. maestro2be Posted September 28, 2009 Author Share Posted September 28, 2009 Well everything is working like a champ on the 10.5.8 and logic 9.0.0 (I have no intention of upgrading to 9.0.1 after the hell I went through last time with it). It is very nice to have my RME card back again. It's amazing the difference of one companies digital output compared to another. Woohoo back to making music!
