Elastic Audio? Surely you mean Flex Time...

Been searching around and apparently this error happens if you have audio regions recorded over tempo changes in the song. The other thing it does is move everything WILDLY out of sync. Im wondering if a temp solution could be to split the audio region in question at the tempo changes (assuming they arnt a gradual movement) before you apply the flex time editing.

I have been seeing this same issue, but when I edit across 8 or more tracks that are grouped with edit, phase lock enabled. I make the in/out cuts and move the regions to another later in the song. The error is thrown when the play head gets a bar or two before the copied region.

I posted the details on the apple boards at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10254723

Still not resolved

Although, it's quite possible that the developers could've been calling it Elastic Audio before the marketing team had a chance to come up with the name Flex Time.

The marketing team uses both Flex Time AND Elastic Audio:

"Flex Time combines beat slicing and elastic audio techniques into a single workflow."
