tommy-lees-evil-twin
Ok, I have Logic Pro 8 on a late 2006 17" Imac. The problem we keep getting is a System Overload Error. We get it while laying down a track, and during playback. We dont get it everytime, but when we do its a real bitch. What is it exactlyis it, and how to we resolve this? Its damn annoying! David Nahmani
Saying you have a system overload alert is like saying "my car makes a noise". It could be everything and anything, it could be normal, it could be an issue that is easily solved, or not - and, of course, MANY people are going have a "car that makes a noise". Those problem could be related, or not. We need MUCH more info: when do you get the alert? Is it just before a section of your song where you have new tracks kicking in? Are you recording audio ? MIDI ? Softare instruments? Any audio interface? Keyboard hooked up? Anything else? Hard drives? External/internal - were they formatted? All projects? Just certain projects? Etc... basically anything you can think of.
tommy-lees-evil-twin
Well it happens everytime I playback the audio, and sometimes when I am recording, no matter if it is audio or software instruments. I have an M-Audio Fast Track, and an M-Audio KeyRig 49 hooked up to it. But it started even before I got that stuff. I read on here that if I play the track through until the end, it wont do it anymore while I have that song open. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. It happens to every project. Sometimes it happens when a new track is kickin in, or right out of the blue. I also have an external hard drive, but like I said earlier it has been going on before I hooked it up. Its not a huge problem, it just kills my flow sometimes when I got something real good goin on. So far it hasnt happened when Im running Logic on my MacBook Pro, but that is my moblie studio, and I like to keep the most of my work on the iMac. Thanks for the help!
