getting constantly error message

Hi,

 

since some hours i get an OSX error message every 30 minutes or so :

 

"PreferenceSyncClient" closed unexpectedly . What the hell is that ???

 

I have to admit i installed the latest SSL Duende PCIe Driver 3.1.0 and the DEMO installer for the Flux Plug-ins before that, maybe one of this is the culprit.

 

Anybody knows what the "PreferenceSyncClient" is and does ?

Ok, so i un-installed the Flux demo Plugs and reverted back to 3.0.3 SSL Duende Software. Still the error message.

Then i re-installed the 10.6.1 update and repaired disk permissions several times : still error message.

 

To this point this error message doesnt affect anything i am usually using (Logic, Firefox, DVD-Player etc.) but it is annoying to click this message away ( it sends a report to Apple automatically and shows a detailed crash log but cant find anything helpful there) .

 

What else can i do ?

I just started getting this, too.

No idea why. I don't thing I had changed anything on my system, so I can't figure out why it would start all of a sudden.

 

Also, I cannot find much info on this online. Anybody have any ideas?

The preference plist might be corrupted. Try to rename com.apple.logic.pro.plist to see if that helps. If you are not sure where to find it, Spotlight is your friend.
