Why all these bugs?

I´m getting really frustrated with Logic 9 ( even 8 )! There are SO many bugs, i can´t work like this!

Logic 9 is FAR slower than 8, takes A LOT more time to open/save. I´ve experienced dropout in audio and i have to restart the whole s#!+!!

I have a Mac Pro 8 core from 2008.

Even sync problem with white noise! Not to mention the graphical bugs....

I wonder if any Logic developer at Apple actually work with soundenginering/production at all.... maybe they should test their products BEFORE selling them!

Anyone else frustrated like me????

I´m really thinking about going back to Nuendo!

None of the bugs happen here.

So it seems like a local problem in your setup.

It's hard to address all the potential problems that can happen with various setups, but try the standard procedures like initializing Logic preferences, run the disk utility, check your startup items, or if everything else fails: re-install Logic.

It could be your system that's a bit messed up too. Try using the combo installer instead of software update.

Audio dropouts could be caused by your sound card or sound card driver, not necessarily Logic.

Here`s my setup:

Mac Pro 8 Core 2008, 2 GB RAM

OS X 10.5.8

Logic 9

SSL Duende

UAD 2

Fireface 800

Macbook 2Ghz Intel core.....2 GB RAM

A few hours ago this happend: I move a clip, between to regions, a little bit to the right (lenght change) and all of a sudden, the second region disapers??

Command Z, do it again, and it works WHY WHY WHY??

I´ll be back with more bugs.....I gonna start a log for everything that happens...

A couple others have reported this... I haven't been able to reproduce. Bugs you can't reproduce consistently are virtually impossible to track down. If you can succeed in telling Apple how to reproduce the bug consistently, then chances are good it will get fixed.

Here´s another problem:

As you can see from the picture I have done som overlapping recording.

For example look at bar 1253-1254. I recorded (silence) in bar 1253. WHYYY is part of bar 1254 also "overlapped"?? VERY irritating if you do many punch in/out.....

LIke I´ve said: Smalls things like this makes it WORTHLESS whem working proffesionally...

hopefully i will mnage to upload the picture...

matmis, while I understand your frustration, this thread serves no purpose (other than venting your frustration). The reason we've organized our forums the way we have is for maximum efficiency in helping people with their issues, and reporting bugs and new feature suggestions to Apple's Logic development team.

A single thread dealing with one person's many different bugs is virtually useless. That's why forums are organized by threads, each thread dealing with one topic, where everybody can weigh in with their own experience on that specific topic/issue. If a problem is shared by many we can assume it's a bug and report it in the "Bug" forum.

To better understand the spirit of this forum and how to best use it, refer to Read Me Before Posting - Forum Guidelines.

I am now closing this thread.
