cedronarts
Hello All, I was wondering if anybody can help me with making Logic "see" my external synth : Korg R3 vocoder. I select external instrument but at the MIDI Destination drop down menu, I don't see the keyboard. BTW : I use this very same synth as my midi controller via USB and works fine and is "seen" in the the midi prefs page. I've never used an external synth before, was just wondering. Again, thanks for any help in advance... there is always somebody very nice and knowledgeable on this forum. JC
fader8
If you create an external MIDI track, does it show up in the Library?
cedronarts
Hi Fader8, No it doesn't, I forgot to mention that I had also checked the library... It seems to see it as a midi controller but not as a sound source. Thanks for asking.
fader8
If its MIDI is communicating via USB, there should be a driver present in Audio MIDI Setup. Check that and look at its settings in AMS. If you have it connected to a MIDI interface, then you'll need to create a device for it in AMS before it shows up in the Library.
