Matt Mayfield
It seems that on Logic 9.0.1 (not sure if this was true on 9.0.0), turning on Low Latency Mode still disables latency-inducing plugins, but does not turn them orange like before, to indicate that they are bypassed. I see a potential for screwups (or at least people wondering what's going on) because of leaving LL Mode on inadvertently. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or was this changed without thinking about this possibility? Edit: wait a minute... further testing is warranted. I found that some plugins still do turn orange. Yet, when I used others that didn't turn orange, Low Latency Mode was obviously doing something. (level changes and lower latency)

I have an Ad limit on a channel strip and one on the master. The channel strip Ad limit glows orange but the Master doesn't. However, if I try to record without using LLM Latency runs rampant. It will Also depend on what your Compensation setting is. I usually keep the LLM button on my transport and activate it during a recording. I am set to ALL and it works great.
