martin1981
Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm currently trying to use my Apogee Duet and TC Electronic Konnekt 48 as an aggregate device. Everything appears to be set up correctly, all inputs/outputs are working. However I want to use the 2 mic preamps from the Duet and 1 or 2 of the Konnekt preamps for a recording. When I record the latencies are clearly different so the tracks which are going through the Duet are not lined up with those through the Konnekt. Is there a way around this? martin1981
Further to this problem, I have also noticed when I record with the aggregate device I am getting some pops/clicks which are not really loud but nevertheless make it un-useable for recording. As far as I can tell this only seems to be on the Duet inputs and not the Konnekt. When I switch to just the Duet on it's own as the interface I am not experiencing this problem. Is this normal?! Any tips would be much appreciated.
duggan
Apogee says Duet is not supported for use in an aggregate device... Not that this helps you, but may explain the issue
martin1981
Thanks for the response, I didn't know that, in fact now you say it I think I read that ages ago (before I had the Duet),but forgot! That definitely explains why I can't get it to work properly!! Hopefully one day they will support aggregate devices?! Seems a bit crazy when they're meant to work so closely with Apple! I guess it could be on purpose, so they create a kind of monopoly situation where you can't combine Apogee interfaces with other brands... Not a big deal for me, but still annoying.
