jrech
I have from back in the day of Pro Tools 5, an old CM Automation - Motor Mix. I was trying to figure if it is possible to get it to work with Logic. The software version of the motor mix is 1.08, and I have it going through the midi in, and out of my MOTU 828 mkII. I have followed the directions from the apple website, the pdf version of how to add controllers, and as a result, I can get one fader to work, and everything just sits there. When I open a file, the faders snap to position, and the screen displays some track names, but that is about it. I am sure I am overlooking something very simple, but I am not sure what it is. Any help is greatly appreciated, J-
fader8
The Control Surfaces manual has a whole section on using the Motormix. It works quite well in Logic, although I always have it hooked up to my Kyma rig I've tried it a few times in Logic and I like it. Be sure it's not in Pro Tools mode before installing it in Logic. jrech
Thanks fadre8, I am trying it as we type. I followed the directions so far, and I have everything working except for the faders. They seem to be linked with the pan controls. If I move the fader, the pan shifts. I am trying to figure it out, do you have any ideas? Thanks, J-
jrech
Thanks Fader8, I had to move something called flip and turn it off, and it works great. I had purchased this unit years ago to run Pro Tools 5, switched of to DP for a while and lost the use of it. I thought for sure I had lost a good chunk of change. Then I found the beauty of Logic. Thank you so much for your help, J-
fader8
Ah, Flip. Handy feature as it swaps the rotary functions with the faders. I can see how that could mess you up. Glad you found it.
