I'm trying to assign a key of my M-Audio Midi keyboard to switch on/off the Wha Pedal.

But I can't do it.

Help me.

Angelo

Try this

If that don't work, read the forum guidelines as well as your Logic manual about using the LEARN command.

Thank you for answer.

I used Learn command, but when press a key, for example C1, in M-Audio Keyboard, doesn't switch from to off and viceversa.

In Macro A Target I select Pedal State and want to switch from value 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0.

Thanks

Angelo

Macro A ???

You should post in the Mainstage section.

Anyway, the icon representing your wah pedal has to be in blue and when you go to the learn section, you should see all the parameters.

I just tried it and selected a random key from my keyboard and everything worked fine.

There are somethings in Mainstage I have to do a few times till I get the hang of it. Some of it makes sense, and the rest of it...

Maybe I can' explain my problem.

I'm in Arrange Window, create a new audio track, in Channel Strip Inserts select Pedalboard, choose a wha Pedal, click the triangle in the left corner and appears Macro A Target.

If I select Pedal Position and Learn and move the Modulation Wheel on my Keyboard it's ok, but if I want to assign a key (C1) to Pedal State for switch from on to off an from off to on I don't know how do it.

Can you help me?

I am not sure where you are having a problem.

You can use the Learn function to control the on/off button directly or with the Macro (pedal state). The (learn) mode should be set to Rotate. The velocity has little to do with this process as the value is either on or off.

The pedal position can be controlled with the mod wheel.

Perhaps you should explain what you are doing, what steps you are using to do this, and that should help out.

I explain:

I control the pedal position with the mod wheel. That's OK.

I can't control the Pedal State with a key.

I'm in the Pedalboard window.

Cliick the arrow in the left bottom corner.

In Macro A Target select: slot 1- Pedal State.

The Macro A value is 1.000.

Command-L to open the Controller Assignments Window:

In Value - Mode, select Rotate.

Press C1 key on M-Audio Keyboard.

The value is 90 30 Lo7.

Appear the Window Learned.

Close the Controller Assignment Windows.

Doesn't work.

Well, that's correct and I guess it depends on the keyboard.

However, you can also use the learn command by directly clicking on the Wah on/off switch. (do not move the Macro slider).

So delete the pedal state parameter from the controller assignment window.

Click on the ON/OFF button of the Wah pedal a few times.

Click the LEARN button of the CS window and then press your key on the M audio a few times. Click the LEARN button to get out of learn mode.

Set the CS mode to rotate and it should work .
