onewave
Hello everyone, I have not yet posted a song up here, thought this would be a good time to post. I had taken the past couple weeks to get Leopard OSX installed with all my new updates, started fresh and wiped the drive clean again. Installed Logic Studio 9 and now I'm good to go. This song is titled October moon, its something that I came up with and lost. Like so many songs that us with computers come up with, I lost the beginning version of the song due to a hang up induced by the new CS-80V2 plug. Be sure you get in the habit of saving your takes. I had forgotten too. You know how it is, you get all excited and forget what its all about till you lose it! Yeah, Logic 9 is still somewhat unstable, but man, its become a kind of obsession for those of us that have it. Anyway, this song has two instances of the new CS-80V2 Plugin and was inspired by how great it sounds. Let me know what you think, Bret
fader8
Nice tune, onewave. Love that bass line. The CS80V is one of my favourite instrument plugs too.
onewave
thanks fader8, Glad that you liked it. You should get your update to V2 if you have the CS-80V, its amazing! That bass line is a Fender Jazz five string running through a Radial JDI duplex direct box. Nice thing about the duplex is that it can be used for stereo keyboards easily. Hard to imagine getting such a great bass sound without it, thats for sure.

onewave
anariel, thank you very much for your kind words, I hope to be making more music for you to enjoy when I find the time. I also hope to post about 20 years worth of my best old songs when I can get the format together for titles and clean up the recordings. Best wishes, Bret
