logic8mine
In Logic 8, when double-clicking on the instrument icon in the track header, it opened a pop-up (who knows what the name is), that allowed you to manually select patches... In Logic 9, I have to hold the second double-click in order to see the pop-up but after about a second and a half it disappears before I can change the patch... Does anyone have a cure? I don't have to do that. Double-click works great, just like in Logic 8. Maybe try initializing your preferences?

Septicstudio
wow it fixed mine also I never thought it was the prefs file ( i didnt had crashes, so I presumed that was alright, but it was the trangression from my L8 song to L9 song default that corrupted it. Many guys have reported this as a bug on SL 10.6 (SL as the cause, this is not the case then, maybe make a sticky out of it or make one @ Mods)

David Nahmani
Did you quit Logic before trashing your preference files?
davadabeat
Yes, I did...I've also tried to initialize all preferences, saving and closing Logic. Then trashing the two files (of course i've emptied the trash) and relaunched logic. It works fine for the first pop-up, but then...
David Nahmani
What if you resize your Arrange window to be smaller and leave space for the pop up window, so that the pop up window is not on top of the Arrange window, but next to it. That would help determine if the pop up is actually closed, or if just is hidden below the Arrange window?
