christi3435
I have been running Logic Pro 9 for about 3 months now and love it to death. Much easier to use than Pro Tools LE. Anyway I have been afraid to update the software through Apple's software updater, because last time I tried that, Logic told me that my serial was not valid anymore and that I can't use the program. That is also one of the reasons why I started using Pro Tools (which I still prefer Logic). Is there anyway to get it to stop error outing besides uninstalling the software yet again and reinstalling. I hate to have to do that especially now since I have lost my jam pack disks, and one of the audio pack dvds. That and the main install dvd is scratched to hell, let alone not being able to find my support ID number. That's another story though. Please help. fuzzfilth
So let me recap that: You lost your serial number, you lost/wrecked your install disks, you lost your audio content disc and you lost your support ID. Dude, you're in trouble. Contact Apple and report here, I'd love to hear their view on this. Christian
StressedOut
Yes, try calling Apple and see what they say... That's one stroke of bad luck...
christi3435
I have. They basically said (well the first guy I talked to) that I need to find my support ID or go buy a new copy of logic. I'll try again though and hope I get a different answer. fuzzfilth
I need to find my support ID or go buy a new copy of logic. That's pretty much what I was thinking too. If, however, you have proof of purchase and can prove that you haven't sold the entire package on ebay, then, maybe then, you have a chance. Other than that, either use ProTools (but make sure you don't somehow lose it in the process of doing so), or take responsibility for all your failings and buy a new copy of Logic. fuzzfilth
That's a good and thorough strategy. Christian
