radioheadfan08
Reaktor is the biggest bargain, incredibly flexible but a bit of ball-ache to learn, but with its tutorials it's quite easy to grasp eventually.

fader8
cheers - got Reaktor sheesh - wow It will really help if you avail yourself of the many good web tutorial sites. Reaktor's biggest weak point is its manual. This is a good start: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Reaktor/Tutorials

Tapeworm
tho' reaktor has a pretty good pre-installed instrument base so theres plenty to keep one happy messing with those alone. i've had reaktor since os 8. recently i got komplete. you could probably spend a lifetime learning and creating with just one of any of these synths alone theres reaktor tuts out there if you want to get into creating your own yeah the manual is sparse. for something like reaktor it shoukd be fairly thick and be vitually nothing but tutorials imo
