jarnld
If have a mic or instrument (keyboard) going into any input on a firestudio and i try to pan it to the right while recording i cannot hear it... any ideas? It doesnt matter what the source is, pod, mic, keyboard etc... All my connections from the interface to the power amp to the speakers are correct so Im thinking its something in logic 8. Any help would be great because its driving me crazy. PS. If i pan to the left while monitoring I can hear the source.
David Nahmani
My best guess is that you're recording a mono source onto a stereo track? Try to set up a new, empty project, just one MONO audio track, plug your source, rec-arm and try to pan: can you hear it now?
jarnld
unfortunately it didnt work. However, i did try running vocals into the same input and channel in Logic and i could hear L and R while monitoring...which leads me to believe it has something to do with the guitar POD or cable Im using to connect the pod possibly. I dont know how that makes any sense, because it's never done it before.
David Nahmani
So just to make sure - you ARE recording on a mono track, correct? What is the track's input setting?
