Audio cracks and pops [SOLVED]

My computer and accessories should appear below.

I am getting serious crackles and pops when using Audio inst.

I have tried many buffer combos.

I can choose any I/O buffer combos and audio will be fine for around 2 minutes.

I used AudioMidi setup in utilities to use both my monitors and interface, i created an aggregate device.

Im not talking big projects i mean this occurs on a new file with a single audio track! Even supposing i used a high buffer i should at least be able to record some mic and git regions.

Everything works great with midi and software inst. Im more inclined to thinking that i haven't set up my system configuration properly to suit my comp.

Any other ideas?

It would help to include the version of Logic you use.

I would forget about using the aggregate device in this case.

I would also recommend using the audio outputs of the Presonus and go to the inputs of the Alesis speakers (do not use the USB for the speakers).

USB hubs are available to supply the extra power needed to run multiple usb devices.

I have the same problem when I try to use aggregate devices and I have a firewire audio interface. The thing about an aggregate devices is that they are limited by the slowest device. In my case that would be the Mac's onboard sound card, which is not fast enough to run my projects. One posible solution is to get another audio interface and use an aggregate device made up of the two good audio interfaces. In the meantime, when I have to have more inputs and/or outputs, I streamline the project by bouncing softsynth tracks to audio tracks (freezing). Then change settings so that the cracks and pops go away. Unfortunately this induces a lot of latency as the onboard sound card doesn't have the best performance.
